Apparel Specialist(s)

Help our Second Life shoppers look their best! Clothing is one of our biggest sellers and we are in search of people who enjoy fashion and want to help us grow sales in these departments.

Now Hiring! A fulltime or 2 part-time specialists to process incoming clothing and manage hanging and organizing reglular clothing and accessories.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of clothing brands and trends preferred
  • Efficient and able to flexible and/or multi-task
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Able to lift large and/or heavy bags of donations
  • Must be comfortable and able to work in a pet-friendly environment (primarily dogs and cats)
  • Willing to sort bags of donations in any condition
  • Self-motivated and able to work solo and with others

Responsibilities

  • Sort incoming clothing and accessories
  • Tag and hang category-priced clothing
  • Assess clothing needs on sales floor and oversee straightening/pulling
  • Minimum of 20-25 hours, plus Saturdays

Store Associate/Cashier

We are not currently hiring for a part-time Store Associate/Cashier, but we accept applications year-round.  This position’s primary responsibilities will be working in all areas necessary for store operations, including but not limited to:

  • Store Associate Roles: Accepting donations from donors in the backroom and outside; sorting and pricing donations; placing merchandise and clothing on the sales floor; general cleaning – including bathrooms and dusting; any other duties requested by direction of the managers on duty.
  • Cashier Roles: operating the cash register, assisting customers with questions, accepting donations through the front door, maintaining a clean area behind the register, and other requested duties.

This position will require the following:

  • outgoing, service-focused individual to assist customers
  • able to work Saturdays (20-25 hours average per week)
  • work in close proximity to animals and be an animal lover
  • able to work in the backroom and outside to accept and sort donations
