Second Life is 501C(3) non-profit organization that was founded in 2011 in the Atlanta, GA area.  We operate a community-focused upscale thrift store and an online store that allow us to raise much-needed funds to benefit animal rescues and spay/neuter programs.

We are not a rescue.  Second Life does not have its own shelter or rescue license.  Instead, our organization was created to benefit rescue groups who are already saving lives and helping families be a part of the solution to pet overpopulation.

While our stores are the most visible part of our organization,  we are more than a store.  Second Life is a charity organization focused on:

  • promoting pet adoption and our love of rescue pets
  • educating families about being responsible pet parents
  • providing resources for other groups to help families keep their pets and to promote their animals up for adoption

Our stores are how we reach our mission.  Proceeds raised by the sale of items in our stores are donated in the form of grants to animal rescues and spay/neuter programs.

Our Mission

To provide cash donations to animal rescue organizations with the purpose of reducing pet overpopulation through adoption, spay/neuter programs and education/awareness.

To offer a high-quality shopping experience in a clean, organized retail environment with a focus on providing excellent customer-service and great deals!

Thank You!

Thank you to our  supporters!  You are the reason for our success!

Your support has helped:

  • rescued animals get medical care and life-saving surgeries
  • families spay and neuter their pets
  • rescues TNR community cats
  • women fleeing domestic violence keep their pets safe until they are back on their feet…and more.

When you shop at our store, you are shopping for a higher purpose. Not only do you find great treasures at bargain prices, but you also give hope to homeless pets. When you clean out your closets to donate, you make a difference.  It’s such an easy way to help!

More than 70 animal charities have benefited from Second Life and we hope to be able to continue to help others as we grow.  Read more about us in Our Mission & Charities.

Every one of you plays key role in helping us give homeless pets a second chance at life.
